Vacation on Lake Como – Villa al Castello
Lake Como is the third-largest lake in Italy and a popular retreat for nature lovers and quiet seekers alike. The small town of Rezzonico sits on the western shore of this beautiful lake, right across from Dervio and not too far from Menaggio. Villa al Castello is situated in a quiet and well-maintained neighborhood of Italian families. The narrow footpath below the terrace is a dead end and only used by one neighbor.
At Villa al Castello you will find relaxation – also owing to the quiet neighborhood, which we ask our guests to be respectful of, especially in the evenings and on weekends. We are not the right place for lively raves and parties.

The beach of Rezzonico
Over a small footpath after about 120m you will reach the flat beach of Rezzonico. Let you children play at the mouth of the small river, hop on a Stand-up-Paddle or lie in the sun. If you are up for some exercise the former narrow traffic road, which is now closed for vehicles invites you to have a flat run directly along the lake.

A small Italian town
The village itself is still regarded as a hidden secret off the busy areas of Lago di Como. These days traffic passes Rezzonico through a bypass/tunnel, so you will enjoy complete tranquility during your stay. Walk along the narrow historic alleys or sit at the small harbor front and breathe truly Italian air. At the same time in less than 10 minutes you will be in the heart of busy and touristy Menaggio.
A stone’s throw away from the house you can dine out at our favorite Pizzeria Trattoria Pizzeria Dei Platani or buy your cheese, vegetables or other essential supplies at the traditional local Alimentari.
